"The dawn of the 45 nanometer chip."
Moore's Law dictates that the number of transistors that can be successfully placed on a computer chip will double every two years. But all of a sudden the microprocessor industry found themselves at, what they thought was, the end of that road.
Once again, Intel proved the critics wrong. Their engineers developed a groundbreaking way to force atomic-level chemical reactions to essentially behave as transistors. Paving the way for the continuation of Moore's Law for decades to come, as well as providing consumers with the most exciting, powerful, and energy efficient chips ever developed.
Frankly, as a bit of a tech geek, it was an honor to be such a big part of this launch.
